Activities

Activities are tasks that are performed while processing batches. Barcoding Activities use barcodes to separate documents or provide values for indexing properties. Batch Split Activities split a batch’s documents into new batches. Conversion Activities change documents to different file formats. Image Processing Activities improve document quality. Indexing Activities automatically or manually provide documents with values for their indexing properties. Pre-Processing Activities prepare images and email messages for processing. Routing Activities move batches between processes and activities. Upload Activities send batches to a document repository after they have been processed. Wrap-Up Activities handle the files that are left behind after a batch has been processed.

When an activity has been added to a process on the design canvas, it will show the Not Configured icon (). The Not Configured icon indicates that the activity must be configured. Hover over the activity until the Configure button () appears, and then click the Configure button to open that activity’s configuration wizard. You can also double-click the activity in the design canvas to open that activity’s configuration wizard.
