Add a SharePoint Destination

  1. Go to the Capture Server Home page.
  2. On the Home page, click Connections.
  3. On the Connections page, click Destinations in the navigation panel on the left side of the page.
  4. Click Add a Destination.
  5. On the Add a Destination wizard’s Welcome page, select SharePoint in the Type list, type a display name for the connection in the Name box, and then click Next Page.
  6. On the Configure Destination page, configure the SharePoint connection.

    For more information about configuring a SharePoint connection, refer to the following table.

    Option Description
    Site URL Type the SharePoint site’s URL, including the correct port number. Do not include specific libraries or pages in the URL.
    Domain Type the domain name.
    User Name Type the user name of an account with read and contribute rights to the site.
    Password Type the account’s password.
  7. When you have finished configuring the SharePoint connection, click the Test Connection button to verify that the credentials are correct and then click Next Page.
  8. On the Folder Options page, if you want to place documents in specific folders when they are uploaded, configure automatic folder creation.
    • To add a specific word or phrase to the folder name, type the word or phrase in the box and then click elsewhere on the page, which will add the word or phrase to the folder name builder.

    • To add a metadata property to the folder name, select the property from the list, which will add the property to the folder name builder.

    • To add a forward slash (/) to separate two folders, click Add Folder.

    • To rearrange the folder name fragments, drag them into the order of your choosing in the folder name builder.

    • To delete a folder name fragment, click the X button to the right of it.

  9. When you have finished configuring automatic folder configuration, or if you chose not to use this feature, click Next Page.
  10. On the File Name Options page, if you want your documents to be uploaded with file names that are based on specific phrases or metadata properties, configure a custom file name.
    • To add a specific word or phrase to the file name, type the word or phrase in the box and then click elsewhere on the page, which will add the word or phrase to the file name builder.

    • To add a metadata property to the file name, select the property from the list, which will add the property to the file name builder.

    • To rearrange the file name fragments, drag them into the order of your choosing in the file name builder.

    • To delete a file name fragment, click the X button to the right of it.

  11. Choose how you want to handle single page documents with existing file names.
    • If you want to always use the custom file name from the file name builder or a randomly assigned GUID if there is no custom file name, select Use Configured File Name.

    • If you want to always use the original file name for single page documents, the custom file name from the file name builder if the original file name is unavailable, or a randomly assigned GUID if there is no custom file name, select Use Original File Name.

  12. Choose how you want to handle file name conflicts when a file already exists with the same name as one of the documents.
    • If you want to cancel the upload and put the batch into the error state, select Error the Batch.

    • If you want to overwrite the file, select Overwrite File.

  13. When you have finished configuring the File Name Options, click Save.
  14. Grant permissions to access the new destination’s content types, as described in the Permissions section of this guide.
